Asthma
Asthma is a syndrome, that is to say a set of symptoms with a particular course in time. The main characteristics of this syndrome are:
- reversible airway obstruction (spontaneously or induced by therapy)
- airway inflammation, and
- abnormal airway responsiveness to a variety of stimuli.
