In this patient there is a marked bronchodilator effect, indicating that there was significant bronchomotor tone.
Although the FVC returns to the normal range after inhalation of salbutamol, and the FEV1 and FEV1%FVC nearly so, one is reminded of the fact that the optimal values for this boy may be even better when he is in a clinically good and stable condition.
